Hidden Voices 2.0
This new series was created because they had something to say.
In their own words, in their own language, to the world, and to the people of this island.
They remain anonymous. Not by choice, but out of fear. On a small island like Curaçao, being seen can mean detention or deportation.
They have no rights. No protection. And yet, most people look away.
Some have already passed away. Lives lost to neglect and lack of care.
But I met them. I spoke with them. They are human, just like you and me.
Hidden Voices 2.0 gives them space to speak.
Not about them, but with them.
With heartfelt thanks
This project would not have been possible without the support, time, and talents of many people. I’m deeply grateful to each of you.
